Malones
Malones American Café has been serving both local and expatriate customers cold beer and tasty food for the last 14 years in China (Shanghai). They were among one of the first foreign bars in modern Shanghai and it has stood the test of time.
Malones was opened on 18th November 1994 by a group of Canadians who wanted to bring western style dining and the neighbourhood pub feel to Shanghai. Malone’s started off being staffed almost completely by foreigners. Today, Malone’s employs just four foreign managers with the rest of the staff members being local. Over the past fourteen years, Malones has developed into a staple of Shanghai’s dining and nightlife scene.
Malones has found that the consistency of good food, cold beer, great live music and of course, service with a smile, makes for a recipe for success. Although the style is American, the customers that come to Malone’s are from all over the world.
